I strive and instill in my team to “Be The Best!” In order to achieve this you must first believe that you are the best and 2nd you must strive to achieve what you want. My organization is built on McDonald’s standards. If one does not have values and high standards it is almost impossible to be successful.
I started my McDonald’s career in 1979 as a Manager Trainee. McDonald’s provided an opportunity for me to grow. By working hands on in the restaurant I learned that people are the backbone of a business success. Many of you may say one can never be successful flipping burgers in McDonald’s. I say to you that flipping burgers provided me the foundation for my future.
On a personal side I have a Masters degree in Business Management. I was a single mom since my son was two years old. Today I share all of this with you so that you know that I am just like many of you. We share some of the same obstacles. For many of you who work at fast food restaurants I’m sure you have
been made fun of for flipping burgers. To those single parents, I know that times get hard and it doesn’t seem like you will ever get a head. I have been in your shoes and I say to you stay focus on your goals, strive to be the best and don’t let any hurdle get in your way. For every hurdle there is away to go over it, around it or under it.
Today I own four McDonald’s restaurants in the Jacksonville area. I would like to open the doors for others who would like to achieve success.

Jamal Covington - Supervisor of Operations
Jamal comes to us from the North Carolina Region. She has 16 years of experience with McDonald’s being first job. She brings to the corporate knowledge that has helped her grow in the areas of people and profit. Jamal has a passion for seeing her team grow, focusing a great deal on making sure new crew gets started off right day 1.
She believes in taking pride in everything she does or touches. Her pride pushes perfection and with that type of motivation it can only mean that her team will be successful.
Jamal says not only was McDonald’s her first job, it was also her first love.
Today Jamal joins our team as Supervisor of Operations and Training. In her own words:
“I will develop managers that will get the results and become the future business leaders for D. Mor Inc. I am proud to be a part of this organization.”
Cassandra Duke - Restaurant Manager/Normandy McDonald's
Cassandra started her career as crew. In her senior year in college pursing a degree in education Cassandra decided to work the summer at McDonald’s to earn some extra money. What started as a part-time job became Cassandra’s career.
Cassandra says she although her degree is in teaching she feels that everyday on the floor she teaches her crew.
Cassandra says at McDonald’s she meets all types of people. At McDonald’s she feels that it has provided her knowledge and experiences that can take her anywhere. There are problems that she incurs everyday and it is indeed hard work. Through hard work and determination one must pursue the challenges head on and with that the achievements are most rewarding.
